DR. MARIA MASSAOUTI
Short Bio
Dr. Maria Massaouti graduated from the Department of Physics of the University of Crete, Greece (1999) and received her PhD in Physical Chemistry (2006) from the Department of Chemistry of the same University in collaboration with the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) of FORTH.
Since then, she has worked at the Institute of Nanotechnology, KIT Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (2007-2009), at the UNIS group of the IESL-FORTH (2009-2013) and at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences of NTUA. In September 2018, she was elected by the Research Council of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) as Alternate Director of Research Affairs of HFRI.
In October 2019, she joined the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL) of ICCS/NTUA where she is working as senior researcher and project manager of large-scale collaborative European Research projects.
Her research experience and activities are focused on the development of laser-based techniques for structural and dynamical studies of molecules and materials with main applications in Terahertz (THz) technology and sensors.
